Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The provided submission template was used and the manuscript is formatted accordingly.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
- Where available, DOIs for all references have been provided. If DOI's do not exist, URLs are provided.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the provided template.
- The text is double-spaced; uses an 11-point Garamond font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- Self-citation should be limited, and when necessary always utilized in 3rd person. No identifying information should be overtly present in initial uploaded documents.

By granting a CC BY-NC-ND license in their work, authors retain copyright ownership of the work, but they give explicit permission for others to download, reuse, reprint, distribute, and/or share the work, as long as the original source and author(s) are properly cited (i.e. a complete bibliographic citation and link to the JOFSW website). The copyright is retained by its authors from 2022 onward. No permission is required from the author(s) or the publishers for such use. According to the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND license, any reuse or redistribution must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. The work may only be used for non-commercial purposes.
